
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) hosted its annual Financial Market Conclave at the Four Seasons, Mumbai, bringing together financial regulators, banking executives and institutional asset managers.
Held under the theme “Indian Financial Markets at an Inflection Point: Capital, Confidence & the Next Growth Cycle,” the conclave examined developments in capital markets, financial policy and the evolving investment landscape.
The programme featured an inaugural address by Shri Ashwini Kumar Tewari, Managing Director, State Bank of India, a fireside chat with Shri Shirish Chandra Murmu, Deputy Governor, RBI, moderated by financial journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay, and a valedictory session led by Shri Ashok Kumar Soni, Executive Director, PFRDA.
A key session, “Alpha in an Age of Uncertainty: Wealth Creation Strategies for the New Market Cycle,” was moderated by Rahul Banerjee, Founder & Managing Director of PGP Academy, leader of PGP Wealth and Member of BCC&I’s Finance and Banking National Committee.
The panel discussed portfolio construction, market volatility, risk management and behavioural finance, including loss aversion and short-term investment biases. Participants included Pawan Kumar, Sandeep Neema, Piyush Chande and Stuart Erskine.
