BayOne’s ‘Make Tech Purple’ Initiative Doubles Women Hiring in Technology

BayOne Solutions, a US-based technology solutions and talent partner, is expanding its efforts to build diverse and inclusive tech teams through its Make Tech Purple initiative. The program focuses on empowering women from underserved communities with skills and career opportunities in the technology industry.

Through collaborations with training institutes and community organisations, BayOne is creating structured pathways for women to enter and grow in tech roles. The company is strengthening its hiring practices to ensure fair evaluation of talent and increase representation of women across teams.

“Make Tech Purple isn’t just about adapting to change, it’s about shaping it,” said Neha Malhotra, Head of Recruiting and Delivery at BayOne Solutions. “By supporting diversity and equipping women with the tools to succeed, we’re building a more innovative tech community that benefits everyone.”

BayOne has recorded strong results from its inclusion-focused approach. With practices such as the “Rooney Rule” and use of AI-driven recruitment tools, the company has increased women hires from 26% to 46% in the last four years. The initiative also aims to challenge traditional norms in recruitment and bring a stronger diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) narrative into the industry.

Originally inspired by Silicon Valley, Make Tech Purple has gained wide attention in the US and is now expanding in India with mentorship opportunities, new hiring channels, and focused recruitment for women technologists. Its long-term goal is to create one million career opportunities for women in technology over the next decade.
