Barker and Meowsky Introduces Calm-First Festive Care for Pets

As the festive season approaches, pet wellness space Barker and Meowsky is focusing on comfort and emotional wellbeing by offering calm-first care solutions designed to reduce stress for pets during celebrations.

The brand is adopting a wellness-led approach to festive pet care, prioritising routine, familiarity, and emotional security over loud décor and high-energy activities. According to the company, festivals often disrupt pets’ environments due to increased noise, late-night gatherings, and changes in daily schedules, which can lead to anxiety.

During the festive period, Barker and Meowsky is offering curated boarding experiences for pets whose owners may be travelling or attending extended celebrations. The facilities are designed with subtle décor and follow structured daily routines, including regular meal times, walks, play sessions, and rest periods.

Instead of overstimulation, pets are engaged through gentle enrichment activities, pet-safe festive treats, and increased human interaction aimed at maintaining a sense of comfort and normalcy. The company has also implemented a calm-care protocol that includes sound control, regulated lighting, designated comfort zones, and higher staff presence.

Rinky Gupta, Co-Founder, and Pratik Sheth, Co-Founder and Head of Expansion at Barker and Meowsky, stated that the approach is centred on understanding individual pet behaviour and responding to emotional cues with sensitivity and care.

The initiative reflects a growing shift within the pet care industry toward holistic wellbeing, particularly during high-stimulation periods such as festivals.
