AVPL International Completes 30 AeroVision Labs Across India in Partnership with AICTE; 20 More Underway

AVPL International, a key player in India’s drone technology sector, has successfully established 30 AeroVision Labs in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). These labs are part of a larger initiative aiming to set up 50 such labs nationwide, with the remaining 20 currently under development.

Launched under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AICTE, the AeroVision Labs initiative is designed to provide students and faculty with hands-on experience in advanced drone technologies. Each lab, backed by an investment of up to ₹50 lakhs from AVPL, spans over 5,000 sq. ft. and features indigenous drones like AVPL’s Viraj model, flight simulators, telemetry systems, and drone diagnostic tools.

These labs, now active in 13 states and union territories including Gujarat, Karnataka, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, offer both government-sponsored and paid training programs such as Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC), Kisan Drone Operator (KDO), and Drone Service Technician. Faculty members are also trained under a structured Training of Trainers (ToT) program in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

“The Aero Vision Labs are not just about drones; they are about creating a future-ready India,” said Preet Sandhuu, Founder and MD of AVPL International. “These labs are fostering innovation, enabling skill development, and opening up employment avenues, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions.”

AVPL, established in 2016, operates across 12 states and runs a wide network of Global and World Incubation & Skill Hubs. It has trained over 100,000 professionals and plays a crucial role in precision agriculture, defense, and geospatial intelligence, with key collaborations including NSDC and various state skill development missions.
