Akara Cosmetics Hosts Unfiltered Trials for Upcoming Beauty Range

Akara Cosmetics, the rising Indian beauty brand known for its clean and conscious formulations, recently hosted an exclusive product testing event at NX Lounge, Kolkata. Designed to offer a first-hand experience of its upcoming launches, the event welcomed over 30 curated guests including beauty influencers, skincare enthusiasts, and loyal customers.

Attendees were invited to test unreleased products like Liquid Matte Lipstick, Bullet Matte Lipstick, Liquid Blush, and Eyeliner — all in their raw, unbranded form. The session stood out for its transparency, foregoing conventional packaging and marketing theatrics in favor of honest, real-time feedback.

Co-founders Akash and Tina Jaiswal were present to engage personally with the attendees and share insights into the brand’s vision. The evening was hosted by anchor and makeup artist Gulshan Banu, with introductions by Pompy Borah, Operations Head at Akara.

This grassroots-level product trial signals a refreshing shift in how homegrown beauty brands are involving their community. “We wanted to hear from our real users before anything goes to market,” said Tina Jaiswal. “The response was incredibly encouraging.”

Feedback from the event will directly influence final formulations and packaging design. The new products are expected to launch in the upcoming quarter.
