Air India Express has unveiled the refreshed cabin interiors of its latest Boeing 737-8 aircraft at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, marking another milestone in its transformation journey.
The aircraft (VT-BWD) features the regal Tsüngkotepsü-inspired tail art, celebrating the warrior heritage of Nagaland’s Ao Naga tribe. Inside, the cabin offers upgraded comfort with ergonomically designed leatherette seats, thicker armrests, improved legroom, and in-seat USB-C charging. The airline has also installed ovens to serve hot Gourmair meals and introduced mood lighting with Boeing’s Sky Interior for a modern ambience.
As part of its Winter 2025 schedule, Air India Express will operate over 2,700 weekly domestic flights and 780 international flights — a 25% increase from last year. The expansion adds 48 new domestic and 10 new international routes, strengthening hubs at Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. New connections include Bengaluru–Bangkok, Bengaluru–Riyadh, and Delhi–Port Blair.
The airline has also refreshed its Gourmair inflight dining menu, adding signature dishes like Paneer Makhani with Dal Tadka, Hakka Noodles with Veg Manchurian, and Celebration Cakes under “Moments by AIX.”
Complementing these developments, Air India Express launched its brand campaign “Xplore More, Xpress More,” conceptualised by Omnicom Advertising Group and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, celebrating the joy of meaningful travel and the airline’s growing presence across 60 destinations.
