Air India Express Introduces 30kg Free Baggage Allowance on International Flights

Air India Express has enhanced its baggage policy to provide greater convenience to international travelers. Passengers on routes between India and the Middle East, as well as Singapore, can now enjoy 30kg of free check-in baggage alongside 7kg cabin baggage. The new policy aligns with the airline’s commitment to providing value-driven and comfortable travel experiences.

Guests traveling with infants can avail of up to 47kg baggage allowance, while Xpress Biz passengers receive an impressive 40kg allowance. Xpress Biz also offers recliner seats with a 58-inch seat pitch, priority check-in, and premium hot meals through its ‘Gourmair’ service.

For those opting for light travel, the Xpress Lite fare includes complimentary 3kg cabin baggage, with options to pre-book additional check-in baggage at discounted rates. Travelers can also use the Xtra Carry-On service to add 3-5kg to their cabin allowance or carry musical instruments as per specified dimensions.

The airline now operates over 400 daily flights, marking a 30% increase from the previous year. Its expanding network covers over 50 destinations, including new routes to Bangkok and Phuket, and expanded services to Middle Eastern cities like Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Muscat, and Ras al-Khaimah. With a fleet expected to reach 100 aircraft this financial year, Air India Express continues to strengthen its position as a market leader in the India-Middle East corridor.
