AI music creation platform Soundverse AI has said that its technology was used to create “Chai Ki Tapri”, the viral song featured in the second season of “India’s Got Latent”.
According to the company, the song has generated more than one million reels and crossed 500 million combined streams and views across streaming platforms and user-generated content since its release. The track gained popularity after being performed on the show and later spread widely through social media, memes and creator content.
Soundverse said the success of the song reflects the growing use of artificial intelligence in music production and content creation.
Co-founder Sourabh Pateriya said the popularity of “Chai Ki Tapri” demonstrates how AI tools can help creators turn ideas into music more quickly while supporting the creative process. He added that the company aims to build technology that enables artists to create and share music more easily.
Founded in 2024 by Sourabh Pateriya, Riley Williams and Ash Pournouri, Soundverse develops AI-powered tools for music creation. The company said its platform has enabled users to create more than 15 million songs and has attracted over 3.1 million users across more than 200 countries.
The platform allows users to generate music from text prompts or melodies, edit tracks using AI tools and distribute music to streaming services. Soundverse said it plans to continue expanding its AI-based music creation ecosystem to make professional-quality music production more accessible to creators regardless of their musical experience.
