Artificial intelligence-driven digital platforms are increasingly helping Indian universities streamline admissions and examination management processes as higher education institutions face rising application volumes and operational complexities.
Industry experts said universities are adopting AI-enabled systems to improve efficiency across admissions, fee processing, examinations, evaluation and result declaration while reducing administrative workload and turnaround time.

According to Manish Mohta, the higher education sector in India is reaching a stage where scalability and operational efficiency have become critical requirements.
“Universities have the opportunity to streamline operational processes through AI-enabled technology by reducing redundant processes, minimising errors, and producing results faster and with greater accuracy,” Mohta said.
He added that technology adoption allows educational institutions to focus more on academic quality while digital systems manage operational complexities.
Experts noted that automation and AI-based solutions are also improving the student experience by enabling quicker responses, better communication and smoother processing throughout the admission and examination cycle.
The growing adoption of digital infrastructure comes as universities seek to modernise operations and comply with evolving regulatory requirements in the education sector.
Industry observers said institutions making significant investments in intelligent digital systems could gain a competitive advantage as the higher education ecosystem undergoes rapid digital transformation.
