Acronis strengthens cybersecurity leadership with 7.5 million attacks prevented and global growth

Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection, has solidified its market position through major milestones, innovative offerings, and sustained global expansion. Over the past year, Acronis successfully prevented more than 7.5 million cyberattacks, showcasing the effectiveness of its proactive security technologies.

Since launching its first security solution seven years ago, Acronis has rapidly grown its portfolio, introducing AI-guided EDR, XDR, MDR, behavioral-based DLP, and email security. Today, more than 50% of its partners use at least one of its security tools, contributing to a 188% year-over-year increase in protected workloads.

Acronis’ leadership has been independently validated. The Canalys Global Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix 2025 ranked Acronis as a “Champion” for the first time, while Frost & Sullivan’s Radar: Endpoint Security 2025 recognized the company as a leader in both growth and innovation.

The company’s MSP-first approach is further supported by the Acronis MSP Academy, offering over 120 certification courses. With over 200 issued and pending patents and a large portion of its 2,000 global employees focused on R&D, Acronis continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions for key sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, and retail.

Under the leadership of newly appointed CISO Gerald Beuchelt, the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU) is actively uncovering emerging threats and strengthening platform capabilities.
