Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection, has partnered with Intel to enhance real-time endpoint security through AI-powered threat detection. The collaboration integrates Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors and NPUs, delivering faster, more efficient protection for enterprises, MSPs, and MSSPs.
The solution leverages AI to detect and remediate threats such as ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware by analyzing behavioral patterns at the endpoint. By utilizing Intel’s OpenVINO™ toolkit, heavy AI tasks are offloaded from the CPU to the processor’s NPU, reducing CPU load by up to 92%. This optimization boosts performance, extends battery life, and ensures smooth system operations without compromising security.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud offers an integrated SaaS-based platform combining next-generation antimalware, email security, data loss prevention (DLP), and EDR/XDR capabilities. Its natively integrated approach simplifies cybersecurity management for IT teams while aligning with NIST’s cybersecurity framework to help users identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover.
“Cyber protection must be natively integrated and AI-powered to address modern threats,” said Gaidar Magdanurov, President at Acronis. “Our collaboration with Intel delivers real-time security with minimal system impact, protecting productivity.”
Echoing the sentiment, Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and GM, Client Software Enabling at Intel, added, “By running complex security tasks on AI PCs with Intel Core Ultra processors, we enable partners like Acronis to deliver breakthrough protection with improved performance and privacy.”
With the rise of sophisticated cyber threats and resource-strained IT teams, this collaboration marks a step forward in delivering AI-driven, efficient, and integrated endpoint protection.
