Brightsun Travel marked World Tourism Day with an employee initiative highlighting India’s cultural heritage, regional traditions and lesser-known travel destinations.
The celebration, held at the company’s Gurugram office in August, brought employees together to share stories, traditions and places connected to their home states.
Employees showcased lesser-known destinations of cultural, natural and local significance, while teams presented regional dishes and wore traditional attire representing different parts of the country.
The initiative provided employees an opportunity to learn about India’s regional diversity through their colleagues’ experiences and perspectives.
“India offers an extraordinary range of stories for travellers to discover, and this celebration gave our employees a meaningful opportunity to share the places, flavours and traditions that matter most to them,” said Sandeep Arora, Director, Brightsun Travel.
“It was encouraging to see colleagues come together with such pride and curiosity, reminding us that every region has something unique to offer,” he added.
World Tourism Day is observed annually on September 27 to highlight the importance of tourism and its contribution to cultural, social and economic development.
Brightsun Travel said the initiative reflected its focus on creating opportunities for employees to share their cultural perspectives while celebrating the diversity that contributes to India’s appeal as a travel destination.
