Women’s period-care brand AMARA has partnered with drone logistics company Skye Air Mobility to offer same-day drone delivery of sanitary pads, period-care products and other women’s healthcare essentials across Delhi-NCR.
The initiative is aimed at helping consumers access period-care products when they need them urgently, including situations where they unexpectedly run out of sanitary pads at home or work.
The companies said drone-based deliveries could also help address last-mile delivery challenges in Delhi-NCR, where traffic congestion can delay conventional road-based deliveries.
Under the partnership, the drone-enabled delivery network is expected to cover period-care products as well as medicines, emergency over-the-counter (OTC) products and other healthcare essentials.
AMARA, the flagship brand of Babel Biosciences Private Limited, said the initiative is focused on improving convenience and access to essential women’s healthcare and wellness products.
Isha Qureshi, CEO, AMARA, said the company aims to use technology to make healthcare and wellness products more accessible and reliable for consumers.
For Skye Air Mobility, the partnership expands the use of drones in healthcare and urban last-mile logistics. The company has previously undertaken drone delivery initiatives involving healthcare and medical products in Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and West Bengal.
The partnership reflects the growing use of drone technology for time-sensitive deliveries and its potential application in healthcare and personal-care logistics.
