Chinese compound condiment manufacturer Sichuan Teway Food Group has implemented Centric PLM to digitalise its research and development (R&D) processes, automate compliance checks and improve cost management across its business.
According to Centric Software, the implementation has significantly reduced the time required for formula updates and product reviews. Tasks that previously took four person-days to update 44 formulas can now be completed within minutes.
Founded in 2008, Teway Food manufactures compound condiments, including recipe-based seasonings, hotpot bases and sauces. Its products are sold across China and exported to more than 50 international markets.
The company adopted the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform in two phases. The first phase, launched in April 2023, focused on managing product data and projects, while the second phase, completed in May 2025, added automation, compliance monitoring and cost management capabilities.
The company said the new system has reduced the time taken for formula reviews and product specification creation by 80%. It also automates checks for food safety, export regulations, halal standards and food additive compliance, achieving 100% accuracy in compliance calculations.
Teway Food stated that it selected Centric PLM after evaluating multiple solutions, citing its industry expertise, implementation experience and flexibility.
Centric Software said the digital platform will help the company strengthen product development while maintaining regulatory compliance and improving operational efficiency. The technology provider added that Teway Food now plans to further expand its use of data-driven product development.
Centric Software, a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, provides AI-enabled product lifecycle management solutions for food and beverage manufacturers, retailers and consumer goods companies.
