Annapurna Girls’ Hostel has introduced fresh, seasonal and balanced meal plans to improve the dining experience for its residents, with a focus on providing nutritious food and a home-like environment for students.
According to the hostel, the revised meal plans include fresh vegetables, fruits and other nutritious ingredients prepared using hygienic cooking practices. The menu has also been planned keeping seasonal requirements in mind, with lighter and easy-to-digest meals during the monsoon.
The hostel said it aims to provide more than just accommodation by creating a comfortable living environment that supports students’ health and well-being. In addition to nutritious meals, it offers common dining spaces where residents can interact and build friendships.
Founder Kunwar Gaurav Giri said many students move away from their families each year for higher education or work, making access to healthy and comforting meals an important part of their daily lives. He said the hostel seeks to offer food that reminds students of home while maintaining hygiene and nutritional standards.
The hostel added that its focus on healthy food, clean surroundings and student-friendly facilities is intended to support residents throughout their academic journey. It said the initiative is part of its efforts to provide a safe and comfortable living experience while promoting students’ overall well-being.
