Ashiana Housing Ltd. concluded the 12th edition of its senior citizens’ sports and cultural festival, Jashn, at Ashiana Advik after three days of sporting competitions, cultural performances and community activities.
Held from February 26 to 28, Jashn-12 brought together senior residents from across Ashiana communities, including Ashiana Utsav, Ashiana Nirmay and Ashiana Advik (Phase 1) in Bhiwadi (NCR), along with Ashiana Utsav in Jaipur, Ashiana Utsav in Lavasa and Ashiana Shubham in Chennai.
The three-day festival witnessed participation from more than 800 senior residents who took part in activities including cycling, relay walk events, badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom, rummy and pool. Creative competitions such as painting, rangoli, crochet, singing, dance and sudoku were also organised during the event. Team photo sessions, community meals and informal interactions were part of the programme.
Actor and model Beila Gupta attended the festival as the ramp walk judge.
“It was truly inspiring to witness the energy and joy of the residents at Jashn-12. Events like these challenge the notion of ageing by showing that passion, creativity and enthusiasm continue to grow with time,” Gupta said.
The festival also featured cultural evenings, including a Sufi Night on February 27 and a Gala Evening on February 28 with a piano recital, group dance performances, a Bollywood-inspired ramp walk and a trophy handover ceremony. The event concluded with a celebratory dinner at the Treehouse Back Lawn.
Ankur Gupta said the event reflected the spirit of active senior living in Ashiana communities.
