Mumbai’s First Residential Drone Delivery Service to Launch in Wadala

In a major step toward smart urban living, Siddha-Sejal Group, in partnership with drone logistics firm Skye Air, has announced Mumbai’s first-ever residential drone delivery service. The service will be introduced at the Siddha Sky project in Wadala, starting April 2026.

The initiative highlights Wadala’s transformation from a transit corridor into one of Mumbai’s fastest-growing real estate and infrastructure hubs. With improved connectivity, redevelopment projects, and modern amenities, the area is rapidly emerging as a smart residential destination.

Already known for India’s first 400-foot-high rooftop skywalk, the Siddha Sky project is now set to raise the bar further with drone-based parcel deliveries. A dedicated ‘Sky-Pod’ will be installed within the complex, enabling safe, quick, and contactless delivery of parcels directly to residents.

Drone deliveries are being seen as a practical solution to Mumbai’s growing last-mile logistics challenges. With over 100,000 deliveries taking place daily, road congestion, delays, and vehicle emissions have made traditional delivery systems increasingly inefficient. Drones can cover one kilometre in about 60 seconds, operate within a 30–70 km range, and help reduce carbon emissions by up to 90 percent.

Commenting on the launch, Samyak Jain, Director, Siddha-Sejal Group, said the focus has always been on innovation that improves everyday living, while reducing traffic and environmental impact. Ankit Kumar, CEO and Founder of Sky Air, added that drone logistics will play a key role in shaping sustainable and efficient urban lifestyles.

The initiative offers a glimpse into the future of high-rise living in Mumbai, where smart technology and sustainability extend beyond the streets and into the skies.
