CloudTV, India’s first homegrown Smart TV Operating System, has announced a strategic partnership with Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform, WAVES, to make India’s rich cultural and entertainment content accessible on Smart TVs across the country.
Through this collaboration, over 12 million CloudTV users across leading Smart TV brands—including Lloyd, Intex, Micromax, Croma, Sansui, Hyundai, and T-Series—will now gain direct access to WAVES’ extensive library. The platform offers content in over 20 languages, featuring Doordarshan and Akashvani’s iconic archives alongside contemporary entertainment, music, news, and cultural programs.
Abhijeet Rajpurohit, COO & Co-Founder of CloudTV, said, “This partnership marks a milestone in connecting India’s cultural legacy with modern technology. Together, we’re reshaping how India watches and experiences its own story.”
Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Prasar Bharati, added, “WAVES is a public service OTT platform that embodies India’s digital self-reliance. With CloudTV, we can now reach millions of Smart TV viewers, enabling them to engage seamlessly with India’s culture and creativity.”
CloudTV, developed by CloudWalker Streaming Technologies, continues to expand its content and advertising ecosystem through CloudTV Ads, strengthening its role in India’s connected TV landscape. WAVES OTT, on the other hand, offers a wide mix of video, audio, radio, podcasts, and magazines—celebrating India’s linguistic diversity and creative evolution.
With WAVES now featured prominently on CloudTV OS–powered Smart TVs, audiences can easily access the platform via the WAVES logo on their TV interface—bridging tradition with technology and heritage with modernity.
