Nashik, September 25, 2024 – Aaryan Shukla, a student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Nashik, has earned global acclaim by winning the World Championship at the Mental Calculation World Cup 2024, held in Germany from September 13-15. Aaryan scored an impressive 819.84 points out of 900, surpassing his closest rival by 286.98 points.
Aaryan clinched gold medals in Mental Addition, Multiplication, Square Root, and Calendar Dates, setting five new world records. He achieved a perfect score in the Standard Tasks category and was named the Most Versatile Calculator with 419.84 points.
Key achievements include:
Mental Addition: Solved 10-digit numbers in 78.08 seconds.
Mental Multiplication: Scored 25 points in 8-digits-by-8-digits multiplication.
Square Root: Set a world record with 82 points in 6-digit inexact calculations.
Calendar Dates: Achieved a perfect score of 100/100.
The competition took place at the Heinz Nixdorf Museums Forum in Paderborn, Germany, featuring top mental math competitors worldwide. Bulgaria’s Kaloyan Geshav and Japan’s Hiko Chiba came in second and third, respectively.
Aaryan’s extraordinary Flash Anzan skills left the audience in awe as he added 100 four-digit numbers in just 30 seconds. “This victory is a dream come true. I owe it to my teachers and the support of my family,” Aaryan said.
