Cashaa Founder Kumar Gaurav Steps Down as CEO Amid Strategic Shift
News Desk June 3, 2024June 3, 2024: Kumar Gaurav, Founder and CEO of Cashaa, has stepped down from his position as the company undergoes a strategic shift in its business model. Cashaa will discontinue its banking services for crypto and high-risk businesses to focus on introducing an alternative bank account aimed at increasing the adoption of its native token, CAS. Amjad Raza Khan, formerly the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Kumar Gaurav led Cashaa from a Bitcoin startup to a major player in banking for crypto businesses. Under his leadership, Cashaa facilitated billions in transactions without security breaches or regulatory issues. Reflecting on his journey, Kumar said, “Founding Cashaa has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Despite numerous challenges, we built a resilient organisation that has facilitated the movement of billions of dollars for crypto businesses.”
Gaurav’s tenure saw Cashaa recognized among the top blockchain companies, building a community of over 500 crypto businesses. He expressed confidence in Amjad’s leadership, stating, “Amjad has been with us as one of the co-creators and is now ready to take Cashaa forward. Cashaa accounts are now ready to serve the masses under Amjad’s leadership.”

The immediate plans for Cashaa under Amjad’s leadership include launching the Cashaa account, a crypto alternative to traditional bank accounts, with features like storing, spending, earning, and borrowing. Users from over 200 countries can benefit from the Cashaa wallet, with an initial rollout focusing on Europe, UAE, India, Indonesia, Turkey, South Africa, and Kenya.
Kumar Gaurav’s contributions to blockchain and fintech have earned him numerous accolades, including being listed among the Top 100 Most Influential People in Blockchain by Rise Global and being honoured as the Best Crypto Entrepreneur in the Middle East.
