The University of Leeds (UoL) and TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) have formalized a new partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a recent visit by a UoL delegation. The MoU aims to strengthen academic cooperation and establish a long-term partnership between the two institutions.
This collaboration will focus on developing joint research projects, organizing academic events such as courses, seminars, and conferences, and promoting the exchange of research and teaching personnel. Additionally, the agreement will create opportunities for student placements and academic exchanges, further enriching the partnership through the sharing of publications and resources. A key aspect of the collaboration is the engagement with the University of Leeds’ School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS), enhancing the exchange of expertise in governance, sustainability, and international relations.
Professor Adam Tyson, Pro-Dean International for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leeds, remarked, “This MoU is a crucial step toward expanding our global academic and research networks. The collaboration with TERI SAS will enable us to work together on innovative research and educational initiatives, addressing global challenges and fostering meaningful academic exchange.”
Professor Suman Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor of TERI SAS, added, “This partnership is a milestone in advancing our academic and research goals. Together, we will create impactful solutions to critical environmental and social challenges on a global scale.”
Both institutions are confident that this collaboration will result in groundbreaking discoveries and long-term societal impact.
