Air India, India’s leading global airline, has announced the appointment of Oscar Travel Services, a subsidiary of Oscar Holidays, as its Passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) in Malaysia.
In this role, Oscar Travel Services will manage reservations, ticketing, marketing, and passenger sales support for Air India, reinforcing the airline’s presence in the Malaysian market as part of its global expansion strategy.
Leveraging the expertise of Oscar Holidays Group, which represents over six carriers worldwide, this partnership aims to deliver excellent services to Air India. Air India is set to launch a daily non-stop service between Delhi and Kuala Lumpur starting September 15, 2024, utilizing its two-class Airbus A320neo aircraft. This new route will expand Air India’s Southeast Asia network and provide new travel options for passengers, offering convenient connections to Europe, the UK, and the Middle East via Delhi.
This expansion comes as Air India undergoes a significant transformation, including a record-setting order of 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. The airline is upgrading its fleet with world-class cabin products and new services, including Premium Economy on its A320neo aircraft.
