Bachpan Manao, Badhte Jao Launches Film Celebrating Early Childhood Development

Nandan & Rohini Nilekani, along with Shankar Maruwada’s EkStep Foundation, have launched a heartwarming film titled ‘Celebrate Childhood. Keep Growing’, as part of their initiative, Bachpan Manao, Badhte Jao. This initiative aims to highlight the abundance of learning opportunities during the critical first eight years of a child’s life.

The short film, now available on social media platforms and PVR screens nationwide, follows a group of adventurous children exploring nature during a hill-climbing adventure, showcasing the importance of nurturing natural curiosity in young minds.

Supported by Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies under EkStep Foundation, Bachpan Manao, Badhte Jao emphasizes holistic child development through play and exploration. The film underscores four key areas crucial for early childhood development: the birth–8 year window, holistic development, abundant learning opportunities, and the significance of play.

Partnering with organizations like Tech Mahindra Foundation, Pratham, Rocket Learning, and others, the initiative seeks to raise awareness and spark conversations about prioritizing early childhood experiences in today’s fast-paced world.

The film concludes with a poignant reminder that by granting children the freedom to learn and celebrate their childhood, we pave the way for a brighter future filled with endless possibilities.
